I See You. You're Not Alone

Do you feel like no one cares enough to see you?

  • Do you spend your energy pretending to be someone you may have been once upon a time but certainly not now?

  • Do you feel like you have to always look cool and collected otherwise you'll be forever put in the "loser" or "weak" box?

  • Do you feel super lonely but too ashamed to admit it?

  • Do you live way above your means but have to save face and keep up with the joneses?

  • Have you fabricated a web of lies so sophisticated and for so long that even YOU are now believing in your own make belief stories? But truth is catching up with you, big time?

You're completely lost and have no idea how to get yourself out and back. What are you going to do about it?

Aren't you exhausted?

Believe it or not, you're not the only one to feel this pressure. So many of us go through the same thing but feel cornered or too ashamed to do anything about it. Because once you admit to things not being so peachy, the skeleton is out of the closet and you now have to do something about it.

Why is it so hard to ask for help or show that we're humans living a human life with all its ups and downs?

When you say you're ok, do you secretly wish that the person on the receiving end would catch you in your lie and ask you how you really are and mean it?

Isn't it exhausting to always have to pretend like everything is ok?

Acknowledging and owning the fact that you're not ok should be your first big step. (and please do not judge or categorize your feelings - they all matter no matter how trivial or insignificant you may think they are).

Admitting that you don't want to feel so isolated and accepting help won't make you weak. It actually means that you're strong enough to want to change things around and take charge of your life.  It's telling yourself that you deserve more and better from your life.

You’re not fine. And that’s okay.

Seek help in the right place with the right people.

Questions to think about...

  • When was the last time you told someone you weren't fine?

  • How did it feel and what did you learn from it?

  • Why is it so hard to ask for help?
