Let's do it together.Fail. Educate. And. Retry!

In times like today planning for the future seems like a thing of the past. Uncertainty seems to be the only sure thing we can count on these days. ...And with uncertainty comes fear.

  • Fear of not knowing what to do next

  • Fear of starting something new

  • Fear of being rejected

  • Fear of failure…

So many fears that just thinking about it I get scared! But you cannot let that fear rule you and stop you from living a full life.

So how can we learn to inject hope into fear?

Today’s podcast is Extra special because you'll be hearing from a dear friend of mine, Matt Beard, professional photographer and Director from Los Angeles. Here, Matt dives deep into the fears he has faced, his perspective on life, and how he's adapted to all the changes brought about by this pandemic.

Here are some of the things I learned while talking with Matt

1. Fear is normal! Find ways to release fear and stress during your day.

Matt speaks on how learning Tibetan Buddhist meditation practices from his father at a young age has influenced how he handles stress and anxiety in his daily life.

2. Perspective is everything.

We all end life the same way and only have a set amount of time in this world. Let’s start viewing life as a vacation. Just like how you would imagine wanting your vacation to pan out, you can design your life in the same way.

  • Know exactly where you want to go

  • Plan how to get there the most efficient, easy and direct way.

  • Who do you want to share the experience with?

  • What do you want to spend your time doing?

  • Have a clear schedule for everything you want to do.

  • How do you want to feel?

  • What should you consider doing to feel that way?

  • What would the contingency plan be in case things don't go according to plan?

3. Enjoy the process that comes with F.E.A.R.

F.E.A.R.= Fail. Educate. And. Re-try. Enjoy the process of life and start using this time to center yourself and get going on crossing your goals off your list as you pursue them. You aren’t going to get it right the first try every time. You may have to fail over and over again until you get there but you will get there! Keep going!

What did you learn from hearing about Matt’s story and perspective on life during this week’s podcast?

And please don't be afraid of sharing because you know what they say about Sharing! ....

'Til next time.... xox
